Tottenham Hotspur avoided any mishaps in the Arctic Circle by easing into the Europa League final with a composed 2-0 win at Norway's Bodo/Glimt for a 5-1 aggregate victory on Thursday.

Goals from Brennan Johnson, James Maddison and Dominic Solanke appeared to have given Spurs an unassailable lead in the first leg in north London last week. However, a late strike from midfielder Ulrik Saltnes gave the Eliteserien underdogs a lifeline ahead of today's home fixture.

It was a near-perfect night in north London, until Spurs gave up an 83rd-minute goal to make things nervy ahead of the second leg in Norway next week.
