Director of National Intelligence has referred former president and his intelligence officials to Attorney General over Russian election hacking allegations

Director of National Security Tulsi Gabbard claimed Thursday that former President Barack Obama carried out a “treasonous conspiracy” because he obstructed the “peaceful transition of power” and attempted to “delegitimize President Trump’s election.

Russian interference in 2016 included hacking the Democratic National Committee and the campaign of Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee who lost to Donald Trump, and spreading propaganda. That interference was designed to sow discord and election distrust.
