The Archer Fire erupted in Granada Hills, Los Angeles, consuming over 31 acres before containment. Initially prompting evacuation warnings at 17278 W Sesnon Blvd, the Los Angeles Fire Department later downgraded the order as conditions improved,

The Archer fire broke out just after 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, near the 17000 block of Senson Boulevard in Granada Hills. The brush fire has burned one acre and is several miles west of the Hurst fire, which began Tuesday, Jan. 7, and has burned 771 acres in the Sylmar area.

Los Angeles firefighters, aided by multiple water-dropping helicopters, were able to bring the Archer Fire in Granada Hills under control Friday hours after it started about 10:25 a.m.

PST An evacuation order for the Archer Fire was downgraded to an evacuation warning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department, with Cal Fire reporting the blaze was no longer spreading as of Friday afternoon.
