Penalties are common in hockey, especially those involving roughing. However, on Sunday, one scuffle resulted in everyone present on the ice being served with disciplinary consequences.

Things were relatively quiet beetween the Washington Capitals and Seattle Kraken through the first two periods of play on Sunday afternoon. Then, tensions boiled over and things got heated — fast.

This one wasn’t even between two playoff teams, but there was no question that it had a playoff like atmosphere to it. All hell broke loose on Sunday evening when the Seattle Kraken and Washington Capitals decided to hold an impromptu Royal Rumble right out in the middle of the ice.
