Howard Hughes Holdings Inc.’s stock rose Monday as billionaire Bill Ackman reached a final agreement to acquire a controlling interest in the real-estate-development company that he plans to turn into a modern Berkshire Hathaway.

Pershing Square Capital Management will be investing $900 million in Howard Hughes Holdings (HHH). The move is part of Pershing Square Founder and CEO Bill Ackman's push to build the next Berkshire Hathaway-like behemoth.
