Ill Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe did not travel to Charlotte for the team's Club World Cup match against Pachuca, but could be back for the final group stage game, coach Xabi Alonso said on Saturday.

Kylian Mbappe was released from the hospital Thursday after being treated for an acute case of gastroenteritis. He trained at the club's hotel Friday.

Real Madrid will face Mexican side Pachuca, knowing that anything but a win will put their tournament lives in jeopardy. Los Blancos drew 1-1 in the opening game against Al-Hilal, while Pachuca lost 2-1 to RB Salzburg.
