Astronaut and astrophotographer Don Pettit gifted the world with the breathtaking video below of the Aurorea Borealis as seen from the International Space Station, approximately 250 miles above Earth.

In the must-see video above, NASA astronaut Don Pettit had a rather privileged view of the northern lights recently, posting on X footage from aboard the International Space Station as it soared over an “intensely green” display.

Auroras are beautiful lights seen near the North and South Poles. If you are near the North Pole, the lights are called aurora borealis or Northern Lights.
