Israel’s military operation in Gaza has killed more than 56,000 people, the health ministry in the strip said.

At least 26 more Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in fresh Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, medics said. A medical source said that five Palestinians lost their lives and several others were wounded in an Israeli drone strike on a tent sheltering displaced civilians in al-Mawasi in the southern city of Khan Younis.

Palestinian witnesses and hospitals said Israeli forces and drones opened fire toward hundreds of people waiting for aid in southern and central Gaza, killing at least 44 people.
