Jeff Bezos filed with the SEC to sell up to 25 million shares of Amazon stock, worth $4.8 billion. He would still own 885 million shares.

Bezos, who stepped down as CEO in 2021 but remains Amazon’s top shareholder, is selling the shares as part of a trading plan adopted on March 4, the filing states.

He is planning to sell up to 25,000,000 Amazon shares over a period ending May 29th, 2026, according to an SEC filing. (Perfect timing to be able to afford GTA VI.) The shares are worth up to $4.75 billion,
