Manchester City are closing in on the signing of defender Abdukodir Khusanov after reaching an agreement with RC Lens, sources have told ESPN.

Manchester City have agreed a £33.6 million fee with Lens for Abdukodir Khusanov to bolster Pep Guardiola’s squad for the second half of the season.

Having reached personal terms earlier this week, it's emerged a fee has now been settled between the two clubs. BBC Sport says City have had a €40m offer accepted by Lens for Khusanov. The agreement includes performance-related bonuses. A medical is now being organised for the Uzbekistan international at City.

Manchester City officials have finalised and concluded an agreement with Lens over the signing of 20-year-old centre-back, Abdukodir Khusanov.

Khusanov, who turns 21 on Feb. 29, has made 31 senior appearances for Lens including 24 times in Ligue 1 and six times across three European competitions.

Foot Mercato says City are now very close to an agreement with Lens. The English giants have offered €50m for Khusanov, an offer that Lens are expected to accept. At the same time, the parties have already agreed on personal terms, while Khusanov is pushing for the transfer to happen.

Now, multiple reports, including one from journalist Fabrizio Romano, claim that Lens have accepted Man City's bid of €40m (£33.5m) plus add-ons for Khusanov. A full agreement between all parties has been reached and Lens are also said to have approved medical tests for the defender which will take place in the 'next days'.
