Add another milestone to a season full of them for Manny Machado: He’s now a seven-time All-Star. Machado earned the starting nod at third base for the National League, marking the fourth time he’ll start the All-Star Game and the second time he’ll do so representing the Padres.

Machado made his first MLB All-Star Game in 2013. He followed that with selections in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2021 and 2022. He has been named an MLB All-Star starter four times and was previously named as a starter as a member of the Padres in 2022.

For the first time since his first selection, Manny Machado had gone two seasons without being named to an All-Star team. That changed Wednesday when it was revealed he had been voted in as the National League’s starting third baseman.
