India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said his country “showcased its strength” and “proved its superiority” in clashes with Pakistan that brought the nuclear-armed neighbours to the brink of war.

Pakistan will have to get rid of its "terrorist infrastructure" if it wants to be "saved", Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday, his first comments on the military clashes with Pakistan since last week's deadly fighting between the two countries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation at 8 pm on Monday. This is his first address since Operation Sindoor was launched in retaliation for the horrific terror attack in Pahalgam. The address also comes days after the ceasefire.
