Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Omarion Hampton isn’t all that concerned about how far he fell in the NFL draft, who went where before him or what number he technically came off the board. He’s far more concerned with fit—which certainly aligns with the vibes always put out by Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Running back Omarion Hampton had to wait until the 22nd overall pick to hear his name called in the first round of the draft last week, but he was more concerned with the team doing the picking than the number of the pick.

The Los Angeles Chargers selected North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton with the No. 22 overall pick at the 2025 NFL draft, bolstering their physical, downhill running attack with one of the top options at the position. And suffice to say, the incoming rookie is excited to play under Jim Harbaugh.
