A pedestrian was injured after being hit by a bus Tuesday evening in midtown Sacramento, according to police. The pedestrian, a man, was taken to a hospital and was in critical but stable condition, said Officer Allison Smith, a spokesperson for the Sacramento Police Department.

The man was killed Monday while walking in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near Elbert, Colorado State Patrol officials said.

A 70-year-old woman has died in a hit-and-run crash in Renfrewshire on New Year's Eve. The pedestrian was struck by a white car on Barrhead Road in Paisley, near its junction with Ladykirk Crescent, and died at the scene at about 19:00.
