Preparations are in full swing at Nigambodh Ghat in Delhi for the final rites of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, who passed away on6 at AIIMS Delhi. A funeral march is expected to accompany the late leader on his final journey.

An order from the Ministry of Home Affairs stated that former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will be accorded a State funeral with full military honours at the Nigambodh Ghat, a public cremation ground in north Delhi,

Saturday will be a half-day holiday in all Central government offices and public sector undertakings. State mourning has been declared for seven days until Jan 1.
