The Twins began Tuesday with “TBD” listed as their starting pitcher for the final two games of their series with the Red Sox, a team they are still theoretically pursuing on the fringes of the wild card race.

The Twins sent starting pitcher Chris Paddack to the Detroit Tigers on Monday afternoon, the first of what could be multiple moves ahead of Thursday’s 5 p.m. trade deadline as the Twins have fallen behind much of the American League in their quest for a Wild Card berth.

Detroit Tigers right-hander Chris Paddack has a 4.95 ERA with 27 walks, 83 strikeouts across 111 innings in 21 starts, all with the Minnesota Twins.
