The Baldwin Park community gathered Friday to mourn Officer Samuel Riveros, who was killed after he ran into gunfire during a shootout with a suspect.

Baldwin Park police are asking community members to "please come and stand with us in remembrance, love, and solidarity as we reflect on his life, his service, and the impact he had on all of us."

The suspect accused of shooting and killing two people, including a Baldwin Park police officer, has been identified as a 22-year-old man.
