Scott Wright from Evanston, Wyoming, was out with a friend when his snowmobile was caught in a slab avalanche and completely buried.

A 37-year-old man from Evanston, Wyoming, had been snowmobiling with his friend when an avalanche occurred, the Rich County Sheriff's Office said. The avalanche happened in the Monte Cristo Snowmobile Area near the Rich and Cache county lines.
