One Torrid shopper says she is "devastated" to learn about the closures, saying the plus-size community is "being relegated to online-only options."

Celebrity-loved plus-size fashion retailer Torrid will be closing 180 of its retail stores this year. Torrid CEO Lisa Harper shared a statement regarding the store closings, which come amid net sales of the brand decreasing from $279.

Torrid — an apparel, intimates and accessories brand that caters to women's sizes 10 to 30 — announced it will be closing nearly 200 of its stores.
