The National Hurricane Center says a tropical tropical or subtropical depression could form near Florida's Atlantic coast during July 4th weekend.

An area of low pressure is forecast to develop along a weakening frontal boundary near Florida or the Atlantic coast of the southeastern United States on Friday or Saturday, the National Hurricane Center said in its 2 p.

The National Hurricane Center increased its odds that a tropical system could develop near Florida late this week or early next week as forecasters expect a wet July 4 weekend for South Florida.
