As the Iran-Israel conflict intensifies, the U.S. deploys the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier along with support tankers to bolster military readiness.

The USS The Sullivans and the USS Arleigh Burke launched strikes over the weekend, shooting down Iranian ballistic missiles targeting Israel. The USS Thomas Hudner has been deployed to the area to continue those strikes, while the Arleigh Burke has moved away from the area, according to a U.S. official.

The U.S. military is also sending aircraft to the Middle East and Europe in case they are needed to support U.S. installations overseas.
