Unfortunately, Notre Dame couldn’t complete the comeback, as Georgia Tech quickly took back control of the game and resulted in a 86-75 victory in Atlanta, Georgia.

ATLANTA (WNDU) - The Notre Dame men’s basketball team ended 2024 on a losing note, falling at Georgia Tech 86-75 on New Year’s Eve. The Irish (7-6, 1-1 ACC) trailed the Yellow Jackets (7-7, 1-2 ACC) by 19 points at halftime after shooting just 9 of 32 (28%).

Duncan Powell and Javian McCollum both scored 21 points to help Georgia Tech to an 86-75 win over Notre Dame on Tuesday in Atlanta. Powell came off the bench to shoot 6-for-13, including three 3-pointers, and scored his career high. McCollum was 7-for-13 from the field to net his season high.
