The wait for a new STI might be over. Subaru has dropped a cryptic teaser for a new performance model, sparking massive excitement and speculation about a potential successor to the legendary WRX STI.

The rendering takes the WRX ARA rally car and strips off the sponsor decals to create an amazing-looking road machine.

Subaru does offer some sportier versions of the WRX, but the STI hasn't been around since 2021. The first Subaru WRX STI debuted in 1994 and took a full decade to reach audiences in the United States.
