Harjinder Singh, the semi-truck driver accused of making an illegal U-turn on the Florida Turnpike that then caused a deadly crash, will remain in the St. Lucie County Jail while his court case proceeds.

A man who was driving a semi-truck and crashed on Florida’s Turnpike, killing three people from South Florida in Fort Pierce, appeared before a judge on Saturday.

Harjinder Singh answered just two of 12 questions correctly when being tested for English language proficiency by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration after the April 12 crash.
