CNN is tracking the LA protests against ICE and the Trump administration and those that have spread across the US this week.

Mounted police forces drove away demonstrators protesting the detention of undocumented migrants by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Los Angeles

Mapped: the 37 cities where anti-ICE protests have erupted across the US - 21 states, 37 cities, hundreds of arrests and thousands of military troops deployed. The Independent has mapped out where anti-immigration demonstrations have sprung up across the U.

The latest arrests suggest tensions are increasing ahead of the weekend, when more demonstrations are planned.

The group was marching north on Michigan Avenue late Thursday afternoon after a counterprotester showed up to a rally at an entrance to Grant Park. Sabrina Franza is on the ground and Kris Habermehl is in CBS Skywatch.
