Filipino-Austrian singer Johannes Pietsch, known by his stage name JJ, clinched victory at the 69th edition of the international singing competition, Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Twenty-six countries took part in the grand finals of the world’s longest-running international song competition, held in Basel, Switzerland, on May 17, 2025.

JJ, whose full name is Johannes Pietsch, was Austria's third Eurovision winner, after bearded drag queen Conchita Wurst in 2014 and Udo Jürgens in 1966

JJ - seems comfortable carrying the hopes of a nation on his shoulders. The 24 year old Austrian-Filippino is one of the big favourites to win the Eurovision Song Contest and believes his roots as a counter-tenor can help him conquer Europe.
