The Roomba is dead, and I'm super sad about it
For now, current Roomba robot vacuums will still work, but it's unclear how long that will last. I knew it was coming, but I didn't realize it would hurt this bad. After 35 years, iRobot, the creator of the Roomba -- which is basically the Klenex of robot vacuums -- has filed for bankruptcy protection.
While iRobot is selling itself off as scrap, let's remember what actually makes a good robovac.
