I have recently been tasked with a study to see how apache compares to IIS in our hosting environment. Currently we run IIS 5.0 with a SQL 2000 backend and a heavily MS-centric environment in general.

Just set up this computer recently running Gentoo. It's an old Dual-Cellie 366Mhz on an Abit BP-6. "emerge apache" worked fine. It installed, and everything is happy, except that it won't serve pages.
