All three people on board were taken to Block Island Medical Center. Officials didn’t disclose the nature of their injuries.

According to the Block Island Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department Facebook page, the incident occurred earlier this afternoon after first responders were dispatched to reports of a single-engine plane crash.

One man is dead after a single-engine plane owned by an Albany County-based flying club crashed not far from the runway at an airport on Block Island in Rhode Island.
