Football Insider has learned Tottenham are ready to blow Arsenal away as a formal Eberechi Eze bid is set to be submitted.
TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Arsenal’s move for Eberechi Eze is currently considered to be off the table, with Tottenham Hotspur set to firm up their interest. On Tuesday, TBR Football revealed that Tottenham had made contact with Eze’s camp, and there is an expectation that Spurs could now land him.
Former Arsenal and England defender Lee Dixon believes Eberechi Eze "could push Arsenal over the line" in their Premier League title bid but has warned the Gunners that he might be more inclined to join their derby rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Eberechi Eze may have to wait until after Crystal Palace play their Europa Conference League play-off match at the end of the month before any potential deal for him is agreed. There has been no firm offer from Tottenham Hotspur for Eze despite reports of interest in the England international.
Eze has emerged as a target and discussions have now taken place with Palace as Spurs attempt to beat Arsenal to sign the 27-year-old. Eze has a £68m release clause which expires on Friday.
According to The Independent's Miguel Delaney, Eze does have a "first preference" between Arsenal and Tottenham. The reliable journalist has revealed that the club he'd rather join is Arsenal, but that isn't to completely discount Thomas Frank's side, as Eze remains open to potentially signing for them as well.
Crystal Palace have approached Leicester City over a deal for Bilal El Khannouss as Eberechi Eze’s future increasingly lies away from Selhurst Park, according to The Athletic. Eberechi Eze has been one of Crystal Palace’s standout performers in recent seasons due to his ability to influence games.
