Replying to @Mícheál Dochartaigh the #GoodReader app is really easy to use. I’ve been using it for years as a trainer for the Institute for Multi- education and I also use it when I’m tutoring. You can download anything into it, save it as a file and then write on it. It’s very user-friendly IMO. Do y’all know any other apps out there that you like.
