This male brushtail possum had been stuck in a narrow gap between two buildings for at least two days, unable to climb out and in desperate need of help. With patience and care, our team managed to carefully pin him against the wall and lift him free. After a full veterinary check, he was found to be healthy and ready for release. By law, possums must be returned within 50m of where they’re rescued. Luckily, a nearby nature reserve backs directly onto the buildings, so he could be released right

Meet Phoenix, an orphaned common brushtail possum. 🥰💛 This sweet marsupial was brought to the #AustraliaZoo Wildlife Hospital after burn marks were discovered on his feet, most likely from a hot surface.
