California’s FIREHAWK Fleet: 16 Aircraft Strong and Ready for Action Yesterday, CAL FIRE reached a significant milestone with the addition of two more Sikorsky S-70i FIREHAWK helicopters to its fleet—bringing the total number to 16. This marks the continued growth of the world’s largest fleet of mission-ready FIREHAWK helicopters, specifically built for the demands of year-round wildfire suppression and all-hazard emergency response. These advanced helicopters boost CAL FIRE’s ability to respond
